This is my eleven year old Grand daughter's first gobbler taken in South Alabama.
A very special moment for both of us.
Man your all's season opens wayyyy earlier than ours does. We still have over 2 months. Haha just kidding. That is really a special moment. Congrats!
When she lifted her facemask , I saw tears in her eyes. She later told me she saw some in mine also.
:z-winnersmiley: Very well done. Great picture. Congrats!
Good job. Congrats to the young lady!

Awesome. Congrats to that young lady....

Congrats to the young lady! :happy0064:
That fantastic, Congrats to you both .
That is great. I bet she smiles everytime she sees that picture.
I'll be taking my grandsons out for their first turkey hunts this spring.
I hope to have a trophy shot similar to that. :icon_thumright:
Love that smile!!!
:icon_thumright: Great Job!
It doesn't get any better than that!
I see nothing but SMILES!!! Congrats to you both.
Great job by the young turkey slayer. Love the smile, bet granddad had a grin as well.
Thanks for all the nice comments from everyone. Yes , it ws a very special moment. This bird was taken on the Alabama youth hunt in early March 2013. Two weeks later , she killed her second tom.
I have a grandson who has also killed a couple of toms.
Anyone who can get these young people into this great sport should strive to do so. My dad did that with me back in the late sixties and that's why I am a "Turkey Addict" to this day.
If your state does not offer these youth hunts , you should press the Powers That Be to get them started.
Great job :z-winnersmiley:
picture says it all, that is what it's all about, the smile on a young hunter's face
That's awesome. You're very blessed.
