Well in order to make the time pass without feeling too blue waiting I am going to try to get my 11-87 20 ga with 26" barrel up and running for this coming season. This gun will not take the place my 835, but will be a nice change of pace gun. I got it last year and played with it but could never get a consistant pattern with no holes. Tried a few different chokes and loads but just could never get that good even pattern. 130 or so in the 10" is all I was looking for as well. After trying the different loads and chokes I decided I would give Nitro shells a try so I ordered some 3" 1 7/16 oz straight Hevi 7s. I really hope these get me the results I am looking for. Should have gotten the 21" barrel cause they seem to just shoot well. Got my shells yesterday day so now I am just wanting for it to warm up a little.
Anyone else working on anything to make the time go by?

Yes indeed I am...I had to hunt with my buddies Winchester 1300 last year,my Mossburg 500 20 ga was in no shape to hunt..Some of you may have seen a thread I started about it,which has a few pictures.

Anyway I picked up a IC 555 from a member on here,it should be here Monday.
I had some Hi Viz sights but wanted something better,so I took them off...Plan to get the Pro Magnum from Tru Glo
I got some Hevi Blend to try in this choke I have coming,I have my fingers crossed this choke puts some good numbers up.
I got to polish my barrel yet,fix my safety for the 3rd time.....As you can see I have enough to keep me busy, the weather sucks..single digits, snow, and wind
Whats a box of them Nitro's run
I need to make a new fan for my decoy, it got beat up packing it a round last year. Also thinking about making a couple of box calls.
