Title: Drilling 336 base
Post by: obro on January 19, 2014, 07:02:21 PM
Has anyone tried to drill the 336 base rather than drilling new holes in their receiver ? I have a SBE2 that is drilled from the factory . I like the idea of the 336 base but I really don't want drill receiver . I havent looked at the base close enough to tell if it is possible  . Anybody have any experience with this ?

Is it a bad idea or has no one done it ?

My M2 wasn't drilled at all, so I just had it done to match the base. With a gun that's already drilled, seems like having the base redrilled would be worth a shot if there is enough space to work around the existing holes in the base.

think about doing this. Buy the base that fits on it, put on yo red dot and adiust the stock until it comes up perfect .

Just have the base drilled. Plenty have done it and it should be easy for a decent gunsmith to do
