Title: Choke Identification Question
Post by: Drthorn on January 07, 2014, 10:24:40 PM
Just got a choke from a friend and trying to determine the make and model..on the choke it says:

SMOKECK'S GT .655

I want to think this is a Kicks, but it is written with an "E" instead of an "I"...

any ideas??

Looks like a Kick's Gobblin Thunder, which would explain the GT. They also have a line of competition chokes called Smoke Chokes, which might be the SMOKECKS. Almost wonder is someone didn't fully change out the text at the engraving stage when switching between two batches of choke production.

The Smoke Chokes are for the different clay target sports. They also have a stainless finish. This looks exactly like their Gobbling Thunder turkey choke, just with weird engraving.
