Post by: bencattin on January 01, 2014, 07:37:36 PM
has  anyone tried the HiViz rifle sights that fit on a vent rib ?  I am looking at them for my Remington 1100 mag.

Thanks,

Ben.

I have one on my BPS 12 gauge. I like the adjustability and visibility of the sight, but had some trouble with the front sight wanting to fall off of the gun. It is held in place with magnets and a perfectly positioned branch could knock it loose. I fixed it by wrapping 1/4" wide strips of electrical tape around the sight to attach it more securely to the end of the vented rib.

I like the adjustability of the rear sight but I was wondering about the magnets on the front . Maybe some job JB  weld will hold it in place .

Styler I am looking forward to your review.

Thanks,

Ben.
