A group of us went out the morning of 12-13-13 to make some man drives in Prince William County. Me and my dad were making a walking in some hardwoods that had some small thick blowdown/green briar areas. As I was walking I saw a doe get up about 50 yards in front of me, but i had no shot. After letting other in the drive know that we had deer up I decided to walk over and see where she was bedded. While walking towards the blowdown the buck jumped up about 25 yards in front of me and unlucky for him he was in the wide open hardwoods, this buck was going to let me walk right by him if I had not gone over to see where the doe was bedded. Not a bad morning for a couple man drives in the snow
