Title: When to go?
Post by: Colt45 on December 24, 2013, 05:35:54 PM
Hello all! Longtime reader first time poster here, myself and a friend are preparing to go to Kansas this spring, and I was wondering when might be the best time to go? Opening week, towards the middle, or the  of the season? We already have an idea on where to go just haven't hunted out there yet and was thinking some of you might help. Thanks!

Sorry I can't help but I wanted to say welcome anyway. I'm sure after  Christmas these fellas will help you out.

Welcome! I would recommend the middle of the season if you have to plan ahead. Weather is a bit more stable.

yelp, middle for us. Weather is more likely to be bad early in the season and it's hot the last week or so and the tall grass makes for hard hunting.

First week of May seems to always be good for me.
