Just read where A&E has suspended Phil from filming on "Duck Dynasty".Have a feeling the rest of the family may tell A&E where to stick it very soon.The Robertsons were doing fine before the show and i'm sure they'll do just fine after it.Its funny how you can be gay/lesbian,atheist,muslim,whatever and say something negative towards a group of people and its "your right to speak your feelings because of the US constitution",but as a Christian you are a hateful hypocrite when speaking the TRUTH!!!!Thank you Phil Robertson for just being Phil Robertson!

The morally bankrupt have led a campaign of bullying those that won't cowtoe to their beliefs - if Phil gets cut , he will simply get picked up by another network , then have lawyers review the fine print in his contract , a&e will likely be liable for breach of contract

Phil will likely become even more well known that before and that will likely help his financial prospects

Well said Shannon.  I think A&E needs to realize the Robertson's don't need A&E.  A&E needs the Robertson's.  There probably ain't 1% of the viewers who watch Duck Dynasty each and every week that are gay.  Somebody needs to do the math.  And the math according to the Bible states that leading the gay/lesbian lifestyle is wrong. 

Television networks had to see it coming, they're all fools too. Did they honestly think someone who built a million dollar business around hunting would push their left wing liberal agenda!?! Good for Phil!

If I know the Robertson's like I think I know the Robertson's, either Phil can come and go back on the show like before or the Robertson's will tell A&E we are done.  But I heard reports earlier in the year about Phil was about ready to do away with being on the show and fully retire.  So we shall see.  But if the Robertson's father isn't good enough for A&E for speaking what the truth is, then I would put money that they won't renew their contract to do another season on A&E.  There are several viewers on Facebook stating they won't watch another A&E program until the ban on Phil has been lifted. 

I just sent an email to the producers of A&E about my thoughts on the Phil Roberston ban and how they were wrong to ban him.  I told them my thoughts as well on the issue.  The truth shall set you free.  I also told them to add my name to the list going around the internet stating I would not watch another A&E program until the ban on Phil Roberston is lifted.  I also think they owe the man a big apology. 

It's time we start sticking up for our beliefs and what is right in the eyes of God.

Phil doesn't pull any punches. He told it just the way it is and is to be commended for doing so. All Christians need to do that more often. Phil wasn't judging anyone, he was just stating what God's word says.

Here it is.....a sin is a sin, no doubt that is what Phil was saying. Whether it is called by name or act, it is a sin. The media have found them selves a free ride for their networks, making piles of money, from Phil's talent and family, and now that pile of cash is jeopardized by this left wing group of nobodies who want to cry wolf. A&E will eventually see that the Robertson family (who are worth more then 500 million plus) will walk away from the network, and straight into another more suitable output for their show and their beliefs, and I would not blame them one bit.
The Christian population need to take a stand, the muslims do, the buddists do, the gays do, when are WE going to take a stand and turn these tables? There is a story in the Bible about a man named Shamu who stood his ground against the Philistine army over one lousy acre of beans, he defeated that army by standing his ground with his Lord by his side, and yet today we cower to the adversary because we are afraid we will offend someone? HA!

Come on America, listen to this, if we are willing to go to war for our right to bear arms, then why aren't we willing to go to war (spiritually) for our right to bear the cross?

The idea of tolerance will be the final nail in our coffin.  It's strange to me how one group must tolerate the other but not vice verca.

I'd like to see demands for GQ to release the transcript of the entire interview.

Phil's mental meanderings strike many as being crass and they were printed in a way that they were not in context with moral commentary.  It was more of, "How could any dude like that better than a..."  It is something like what a few of us might say to one another in the woods.  That part allows the opponents to parse and criticize while contending it was just crassness and not about morals or values.

Anyone not a liberal and one of their icons should know that reporters from GQ and virtually all media sources are not their friends and will do what they can to hurt them.  I would advise all of them to have a good microphone and digital recorder in addition to using restraint.

I hope all the other family members come forth and say they concur to put A&E on the spot.  If they all concur and subscribe to the agreement, what will the left coast sodomite apologists do then?  Will they cancel the network's biggest show?

I don't particularly care for the show or Duck Commander products, which I knew well before advent of the show, but I am definitely on their side.

I wonder if Barbara Walters would want to interview Phil now for her Most Fascinating People show.

 Brad , I read the article you posted and it shed quite a bit of light on the situation - it anonymously injected the Robertsons opinion on the behind he scene politics of A&E - they claim the show was fabricated as a laugh fest , to make fun of backward hillbillies .....their view reminds  me of the show MTV had where they got Paris Hilton and her sidekick to show up in downtrodden homes and workplaces in a apparent conceptual rip off of the 1960's show " Green Acres"  placing people in poor people situations and laughing their arses of at Zsa Zsa Gabore types as they slog through pig poop -  only problem is Phil is a very likeable person , and no pushover , just look at they guy , I'm sure some tv executives are frustrated with dealing with a stubborn person like him , the man just doesn't care for people like that ---I do recall Phil publicly stating that he did not care if A&E offered millions , he would not film during duck season ( go check your calendars ..... It's duck season folks) I'm sure Phil couldn't give a hoot --  Who cares about being politically correct , so they are offended at Phil's comments TOO BAD !!! If its true what they say , the whole thing just backfired on A&E  , I hope that the Robertsons drop A&E for breach of contract , or just simply don't renew their contract , and run over to another network. Either way I bet rival networks are lining up to get a chance at making a deal with Phil Robertson  ( Fox is a big rival of abc .....)

I also think Fox would be the best choice for the Robertson's.  At least they are a lot better supporters of the way most people think.  At least that's what I see.

I would suggest everyone to take the time to read my devotional for Sunday. As history is constantly repeating itself, and will continue to do so, unless WE make a change take place and God knows this. Many a good man has taken up the cause, Phil is one and many will follow.

I didnt read all the replies here but two things that burn me up about this deal:

#1 -  It's extremely hypocritical that the same group that preaches "open-mindedness" is only "open-minded" if someone's personal beliefs align with their own.

#2 - Being Politically correct.   I get tired of it. There's a time and a place for everything to be said but the man didnt attack anyone with his beliefs, he simply stated what they were. If phil had stated he didnt believe in Christianity, this would be no big deal. The only time it's NOT taboo in this country to toss political correctness out the window is when you are discussing the white race or in some form or fashion, denouncing Christianity.  Prove me wrong. When's the last time an Atheist caused this kind of stir when stating their beliefs? 

I'm not racist and I'm relatively open-minded to homosexuality, although I dont personally embrace it and do believe it's a sin. However; I respect that we live in a free country and that everyone has to live their own life as they see fit. I wont try to tell someone else that they are wrong for doing it/ believing in it etc., or stop someone else from doing it or press my beliefs on them. Where I get irritated is when that same respect isnt given back to me and we are called closed minded or persecuted for NOT sharing their beliefs.
