I recently had to return a pair of binoculars to nikon that were covered under warranty. When I got back my replacement product it was a generic version of what I've sent in! New the binoculars cost me around 250 the pair they sent me back I seen online you could buy for $90! A good friend of mine that I hunt with had a similar problem I had with my Nikons with his Bushnell binoculars and when he got his replacement Bushnell binoculars back they too had quit making his model and instead of downgrading they sent him the next thing up. So when you go out there and you're looking at buying new binoculars don't buy Nikon their warranty sucks!
Next time get Leupold ! I know they cost a little more but they have the best warranty in the business :icon_thumright:

That's what I just bought, and they are great!
If I paid $250 for a defective pair of binoculars, and I sent them back to the manufacturer, and they sent me a $90 pair in return, somebody would be getting a phone call high up at Nikon. Just saying.
I sent my scope in this spring and they took care of it right away.I would be giving someone at Nikon a H$%^ of an A%^ chewing for sure though.
Steiner is no better these days,they have done some sort of merger with Burris and its not the same.
