I am shooting a primos jelly head, and I'm not completely satisfied with the numbers I'm getting. Can any of you recommend your favorite choke for this gun?
The number of 10 gauge shooters seems to decline each year but my readers have been very happy with the results they've seen with the Pure Gold 10 Gauge Turkey Choke. It has a .690 exit diameter and delivers a good even pattern.
Thanks,
Clark
Where can I purchase this choke and have you ever came across any results on patterns with hevi shot magnum blend?
The choke you need will depend on what load you choose to shoot -- Ive used the JH with good results on several loads -- there are some other very good quality chokes out there like PG etc.. - take a look in the 10 ga section for good pointers --
try some of the Federal HW #7's------ they are very good shells
Clark is right , the 10 gauge is dwindling more and more each year with turkey hunting , the 10 has been neglected , while the popularity of the 3.5 12's grows -- However I do notice that there is a small stronghold of popularity of the 10 with goose hunters , I dont think that will ever die off
Kicks 690 and never look back...
