Title: ? about a Charles Daily
Post by: cjordan on August 15, 2013, 07:31:59 PM
A buddy of mine just called and said he is having problems with his Charles Daily Auto. He said it will fire the first shot, the second round will eject out of the bottom, but the third shell will try to load, all with in one shot. He said sometimes the third shell will go in the chamber and sometimes it wont make it all the way. Which even if it does load properly, its still throwing the second shell out of the bottom. I hope all of this has came out clear enough for yall to decipher. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to assist. Thank you for yalls time and help.

I am not familiar with this particular autoloader, but with all of the other brands ive seen, timing of everything working together is what makes them function properly. It could be one component that is bent/broken, or just an issue of something that needs cleaned. Some of these guns can be finicky, i would tear it down as far as he is comfortable with and inspect/clean and lightly lubricate and try it again. If this doesnt work a gunsmith would prbly be the best bet, unless another member here has expierence with them and can help out farther.
