This one has some strange growth at this base of his left antler.

if you look in the upper right part of this picture you can see an bull trying to get a head start on the rut.

Man, you've got some really great genetics for big elk! Nice pictures.
I wish I knew enough about wild mushrooms to risk eating them. I suspect we have some really good one around here, too,...but I just do not have enough confidence in telling the difference between the good ones and the ones that will kill you,...so I pass.

years ago I saw an older couple picking mushrooms, I stopped and asked them if they would teach me some of the mushrooms that were good to eat. come to find out they were from Poland and had been picking mushrooms since they were kids. I followed them around for a couple of days taking notes and since then I guess you could say my expertise has mushroomed. :toothy12:
