Title: Long box
Post by: Spur806 on August 07, 2013, 07:06:45 PM
Hey guys, I am happy with my short boxes I've been making, and was going to try a long box now, was just wondering the general length of what they usually are? And any words of advice on making one. Thanks!!

Don't expect the same sound as your shortboxes is all I can offer. Good luck.

It's been awhile since I've fooled around much with long boxes. Seems like I was making the sound chamber about 6.25" long, some I made 8" but don't remember liking them. As far as depth I want to say somewhere between 1.25"-1.375". Again these are rough measurements from a rough memory. Good luck and let me know how they turn out!

Like said before, you won't get the same sound as your shortbox, that's because it will sound better once you learn to use it
