I know the grand slams were great. But how about this one?
Probably don't make anymore?

To be able to get that load in the 1 5/8 and not the 1 1/2 oz. is an advantage for sure.
That was my shell when I had the Rem 870 Wing Master in fixed full.

This load is a good one in my opinion.

Killed alot of turkeys with that load out of my 500 with a full choke, deadly out to 30 yards. still have a partial box.

IMO they are a great load. I use them in my Tikka (Ithaca) 222/12 ga. combo gun for fall turkey hunting here in Pa. The Tikka is restricted to 2 3/4"(70mm) shotshells. It is choked full(.695) and throws excellent patterns. 1 5/8 oz. lead shot is the max you can load in a 2 3/4" shell. I have killed several fall turkeys with the above combo without any complaints. I believe I have 3 or 4 boxes left  which should last awhile since Federal has discontinued manufacturing the load.

this load and the old 2-3/4 Winchester 1-5/8oz were the 2 best lead loads there was in a 2-3/4" shell
