Here is Chief Bubba's Birthday Call, he always has one made and buys himself a present every year for his birthday, this one is special, the pot is made from an old cutting board that was my mother inlaw's when she was alive, I believe it is maple laminated pieces. I took a NWTF Button from 1986 and mounted it in the back, flush with the bottom of the call and used some of this year's Pennsyvania Slate for the striking surface mounted it over glass. The striker is mahogany from this past year's NWTF Convention from "the Mahogany Man" .... Hope you like this one my friend....
very nice!
Dang Pappy,that's a sharp call!
VERY , VERY NICE LOOKING CALL :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:
Thank's Pappy it look's great and you'll have to thank your wife for giving up some of her Mother's cutting board for me. :) Chief.
The story with the cutting board was one of great memories, she was a baking fool! and she used it for her famous sour dough buns to work them out, and she also used it to make some of the best dumplings this side of the Mississippi! So I wanted to remember her in a way that would bring joy to others, as she always brough joy with her every where we went. I can still smell the buns baking in the oven and the dumplings boiling on the stove! Hope you like these my friend...pappy
