First of all congratulations. I've owned a 930 for several years now and it's an absolutely great shotgun.
I use the SSX in mine both for hunting and in competition and have not found anything that performs better in my gun.
I also use 3" Hevi-13 "Bronze" shells with 2 oz. of #6 shot, again both in competition and for hunting.
Lastly, you'll find that the 930 is a very reliable gun. I purposely did not clean my gun, other than the bore, all of last year. I began shooting in in early February and shot it in competition through the first week in October. That mean literally hundreds of rounds in both practice and competition over that time and it never once failed to feed or fire.
I know you'll enjoy that gun.
Thanks,
Clark
WRIGHT NOW IM HAVING TROUBLE POSTING THE PIC FOR YA TO SEE SORRY
CLARK , THANKS FOR THE INFO SOUNDS LIKE ITS GOING TO BE A GOOD RELIABLE HUNTING GUN
I have a 930 Turkey as well and really like it. I'm currently using the IC .660 like you are bidding on and it throws a very nice pattern with Hevi-13 #7's as well as the #6 Turkey Thugs. Interestingly enough, the poi on both shells are the same which is great. I have also got a SSX like Clark mentioned as well as a Kick's GT .655 and a Hevi-13 choke but I haven't got around to trying them yet. I'll probably do that this fall. I think you will really like your 930. It's a well built turkey killing machine. Here is mine and one of it's victims.
