Seem some Ole Longbeards escorting some hens today. :z-guntootsmiley:
Its gettin to be that time of year again. Come on April 2.
I think the property I have been seeing birds on has 2 flocks. I will see a HUGE flock with 4 longbeards and a bunch of hens every now and then and sometimes I will see a flock of 8 gobblers. After seeing that solo strutter I'd say their starting to bust up too :you_rock:

I saw a flock of 22 this evening after the rain moved out for a bit. There was at least 4 gobblers. As I was counting them I noticed 2 down the hill from the others and they were running. As soon as I was able to glass them one blew up! It was 2 gobblers running after jakes and the last one would strut every now and then. 1st time seeing a wet bird strut :TooFunny: Watched them for 30min and the gobblers really got to running the jakes around pretty good!!
I'm worried the gobblers will be henned up next week. The hens haven't broken up yet. I did see a couple Toms or Jakes by themselves a couple of weeks ago. So, maybe I can find some lone strutters.
The birds here are still flocked up pretty tight, seen about 14 hens today, haven't seen any gobblers much, it has me worried.
