Title: -2013 Season in Review-
Post by: hermiehunter on June 11, 2013, 03:58:38 PM
Haven't gotten around to posting any pictures from Spring 2013 until now.

Last year my brother and I posted our season in review for the Carolinas.  Figured we'd do the same this year.  I am going to post the pics from my brother (publicland) first.  I will let him fill in the details below!

Well started my spring in Florida was able to get my 1st Osceola he was a good 3yr old gobbler weighed 20 pds 10" beard & 1 1/8 Spurz! Then back to the NC took my fiancé opening morning & she was able to get her 1st longbeard he was 19 pds 10 1/2 beard 1 1/8 Spurz! Then I hit a week long slump before I was able to connect on a good public land gobbler, he weighed 21 pds had a 10 beard and 1 1/8 Spurz he was hard earned then I finally caught up with a good un weighing 22pds 11" beard & 1 1/2 hooks best gobbler I've killed in several years I was tickled to tag out on him! Then ended up taking Lynn to try and fill her last tag! Sure enough on the last day of season we managed to get on 2 gobbling their heads off! She gave the 1st one a headache at 20 yds a good 2yr old to tag her out! 17 pds 10" beard 7/8 Spurz! Had a few more states we were planning on huntin but a family emergency came up, so hopefully me & hermiehunter will get the fullfil those plans next year! All in all it was a great year to hunt turkey! But every year is a great yeAr to hunt turkey! :z-guntootsmiley:
