Title: Rem Turkey/Predator 870???
Post by: Rem Man on May 30, 2013, 06:36:16 PM
Hi guys I just bought a as new Remington 870 Turkey/Predator 12 gauge for $400.00 I just have wondered if anyone one this site has one or any experience with them. I love the gun it is sweet with a 20 inch barrel. I was wondering what may be a good start choke wise. I have a .660 Jellyhead and a SSX and also a Rem Super full, I will be shooting Federal HW #7's. I have always shot 26-28 inch barrels. I hope I can get as good as patterns with the short barrel. If you have any information on this gun I would really appreicate it. THANKS!!!!

Try em all n see what ya get. With the heavyweights the remington choke might just give you the best patterns. Personally I'd get a box of hevi13 and try the ssx first. Shorter barrels typically like a little tighter choke in my experience.

I have that exact same gun, with the jelly head .660 and H-13 #6's it shoots an awesome pattern, With 3" 180-190's and with 3.5" 220-240 in a 10" cirle. I did polish the barrel.
