Title: Merriam outfitter?
Post by: JHoyle on May 24, 2013, 06:21:40 PM
Me and couple buddies are looking to book with an outfitter for next spring. Would prefer a non guided hunt on private land. Not interested in public land our first trip out. Any reccomendations? Looking at New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming or South Dakota. Any good or bad experiences?  Thanks!

Thomas Ranch Outfitters out of Hulett,WY.....hunted with him a couple times and never had a problem killing birds. Non guided......he does provide lodging and food.

There is one to steer clear of but I would rather not say it on an open forum.....send me a pm if you need to know.

I would recommend C&D outfitters in Howes South Dakota.  They have true merriams and a ton of them.  I can't say enough about how good this outfit is.
