Title: Rio Grande outfitter recommendation?
Post by: Ocoee Ridge Runner on May 24, 2013, 06:00:12 PM
I am looking to book a Rio hunt for next spring and was looking for a recommendation for an outfitter that is affordable and allows two birds. Anyone you guys have hunted with and feel they have a good hunt?

Thanks

You might try stormranchhunting.com. They are located just outside Austin, Texas and assign you a pasture (usually 500 acres) and turn you loose or assign you a guide at your request. I have not used them but have a couple of friends that do and they love them. They also have  accommodations  on site and are family run. Good luck.

I have hunted with Wildlife Systems, Greg Simons owner in San Angelo twice.  Great hunting, great lodging, great food, excellent staff.

Anybody know of any good TX outfitters?  I'm thinking about booking a trip with McCrea Outdoors.

The ranch is about 25 miles north of the Red River.  Lots of birds.
