Post by: chipper on May 20, 2013, 09:09:32 PM
Anyone run a Pure Gold .670  in a invector plus barrel with Hevi 3.5 inch # 7's, if so what kind of patterns are you getting at 40 ?

I got great patterns from this combo, had a 300 average with this combo.  That was when the Hevi 7's first came out though.  Hevi probably changed the shells since then.

Mine shoots better than my jelly head in mine but I'm still debating on buying a different choke. An mine shot heavy #7's terrible

I got around 250 with the 3.5 #7s out of a browning gold 24" with a pure gold .670. Rhino .670 was 288 and sumtoy .670 was 308. I picked the rhino because it gave even patterns in 10" and 20".

Im getting in 280s with PG 670 and MagBlends. Browning Gold.  Never tried the 7s.  May give the 6s a run next year.  Tough to beat the blends though...

Well I patterned the Ic .665 against the Pg .670 today and the patterns were almost identical out of my gun the IC averaged  about 4 to 10 pellets more per pattern and averaged  in the 285 in the 10 both were very good patterns  at 40 yards. I guess I will stay with the IC .665 because it did shoot to point of aim at 40 and the Pg was 6 inches high.
