Good news, I went out the other day to try and find a gobbler for my son, we did an afternoon hunt near where I deer hunt. His youth license is good statewide in any Open zone so I have flexibility with him. We didnt seal the deal but saw no less than 4 gobblers. Most sneaking in behind while I was calling to a different bird. So for next year I think I have found a good little spot. The bad news is the 4 or so hours we spent out there wiped me out. This place is close while my hunt area is 3 hours away. We have a cabin but its not the same as home. I was wrecked after hunting with my boy. My endurance is just not where it needs to be for me to head up and hunt in my area. I have to call it early and not chase a bird for myself. Hopefully I can get out once or twice more with my son close to home and get him a bird. Thanks for all the prayers guys I really do appreciate it. I am already looking forward to next year.
