My wife and daughter pretty much kicked me out of the house practicing turkey calling so I went on a short hike after work to an area where I've seen turkey sign. There are few to 0 turkeys where I live here in Colo so I was mostly taking a hike to practice calling where I wouldn't irritate anyone. Anyways, I didn't see or hear any turkeys but... I called in a giant, boar black bear that was looking for a quick turkey dinner. I thought I better stand up when he was 50 yards and still coming! I could tell he wasn't too pleased that I wasn't an easy dinner and it took a while before he was willing to leave. All you turkey hunters in bear country....beware!
Yep. My wife, family & I went for a drive on mothers day & we seen a big Mama bear with 4 cubs in tow. I wouldn't want to run into them in the morning....
