Title: anybody got foodplots?
Post by: WV TURKEY THUG on May 12, 2013, 08:20:50 PM
Here's is one of the food plots that someone planted for me 2 yrs ago. Never touched it since then. Its still looking good. (http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y478/yotehunter68/2013-05-12111731_zps83160e83.jpg) It is some type of clover. It is up to my knees. Tried using a decoy in this plot today but u couldn't see it. Do u think the turkeys use it since its this tall and thick. I know they used it last year only daily basis but it wasn't this tall and thick.

Also mowing in a meandering manner out in the plot or along the edge gives young poults an easier way of eating insects and instant cover from a hawk or other predator.
