Well my season is over and I have had a GREAT turkey season; although next year is quite away off, who, along with me, is already making plans for next turkey season? there are some things I would like to add to my hunting gear and there are definately some new areas I want to hunt so I am now planning my trips and have already begun saving money for my next adventure; if God lets me live and by his will I see next spring, I plan to hunt several new states and add some new memories;
Who else is doing the same?
It's on my mind for sure.Seen a dandy longbeard on Fri. across from where I hunt.
Already planning some trips into New Mexico and Texas.

I'm planning a 3 state swing . ;D

I'm gonna try and finish my slam up next year, just need my Merriams. Although I would love to go back to Florida and get another Osceola.
Always thinking of next year. Although there are still plenty of things to do this year. Turkey season is my favorite but no need to wish the year by. I will be fishing for the next 4 months then deer season that rolls back into winter fishing weather it be ice or open saltwater that rolls me right back in to turkey season. Its one big old fun cycle for me.
Been discussing next year with our traveling friends already.
Been doing a little internet looking too.
I still get to go out and try to help a buddy try to find a late season suicidal bird tomorrow. :happy0064:
already got my list started
I am looking forward to a fall turkey season in Illinois and started some research on a Kansas Rio hunt next spring. Since I live out in the country I will scout all year and map out the turkeys in the area.
This guy right here is gonna start working on some food plots and trying to thin the predators out some. Hopefully it will be great season next year. But my season ain't over yet. :turkey2:
Yessirree,...already discussing plans with "the crew" as to what the possibilities are for next year. We've already got our spots in Texas and Oklahoma locked in, but we will be trying to line up some additional properties to hunt in both states so that a few more friends can go along.
Also have an Osceola hunt in the works if things go as planned, and a recent possibility of an Eastern hunt in Tennessee, if the chips all fall into place. Combining that with our NM Merriams hunting, and I may be able to pull off the single-season slam next spring.
...A guy can dream, can't he?!

I'm in the planning stages. Will be hunting here in FLA somewhere that I get drawn for, then of course my lease in Carolina, then I want to do a couple of trips to new states I've never hunted. Still researching where I want to go.
I have a goal of killing birds in all of the lower 48 states before I die. So if anyone has any good tips, feel free to PM me. I'm up for an affordable outfitter, or good public land. I'll gladly accept a point in the right direction. Thanks!! :icon_thumright:
I'm already going through turkey season detox! I need one more fix! :funnyturkey:
I don't know if I'm planing but I do have certain intentions, FL, MO, OK, KS.
Doc, be sure and get us lined up on that FL. gig.
Yep, planning as I was hauling mine out this year already! I put em to bed for
next season :)
Don't hunt other states any more, I have a hundred acres i have been hunting for years. also i scored another hundred acre farm yesterday, cant wait till next year.

Probably going to hit Alabama (again), Florida, Montana and Nebraska (again.... Bachelor party for my best buddy) in addition to my home states of Virginia and Maryland.
Looking forward to 2014 already. Can't wait for the spring of 2013 to be over with.
Yep, I know for a fact I left a couple of nice seed toms out there :toothy12: Hoping they and a few of the jakes that got a pass will still be hanging around in 2014. I have plans to attempt a public land Osceola next year too. Hope I'm still kickin 10 months from now!
I know I'm planning for next year, after yet another too short MO season, I'm thinking about looking for a spot in Kansas or Nebraska dince they run until the end of May. Also trying to get buddies together to make a roadtrip south in late March. Whether any of this happens or not I doubt, but its fun to dream. Now its on to the fishing, then summer scouting and prep for bow season, which is my other mistress.
I have until May 31st to hunt and a second tag to fill here in Pa. :happy0064:
Yep, already secured one new spot to hunt. Working on another spot now.
Yes sir. Going to Colorado for a mountain merriam hunt. Lined a couple new leases up for here in LA and Ms too! Can't wait!

Have you hunted Missouri, Oklahoma, or Kansas? I could point you toward some decent public land if you need those states.
