Who's Using one this season? Who bought one and can't seem to make it sound anything like a turkey?
I hunt ducks and geese a lot and feel I am a rather proficient caller. This turkey call has become my nemesis. Anybody else experiencing the same thing?
I got one as well. I'm not bad, part of the time, other times it sounds like someone is strangling a goose!!
I noticed though that when I sounded bad, I was probably blowing too hard. A nice, consistent pressure is when I sounded best. That, and closing your hand to cup the call.
I did contact the company, and they were very nice, with good customer service. Said I could call them and they would help me out. Didn't get around to calling them during my season, but I am going to do it and practice up for next season. I believe this call will work, and plan on having the call down by next season.
I've seen other gobble calls that didn't sound as good work wonders, so I have no doubt this will work as well or better.
I've got one and after ALOT of practice i think i sound pretty good. They keep saying to roll your tongue but that didn't work, I'm not a waterfowler but i ended up doing a mallard feeding call kinda thing to get it to sound right. Till a while to get a tight seal too. Like RutnNStrutn said I've seen others work that don't sound near as real as the Haint. So keep at it.
i would love to be able to work mine just cant get the hang of it...the guys that can i think it sounds great
Took me about an hour and a half to really get it.
I think it's a great call for specific applications.
I'll second the great customer service and kindness - real nice guys on the phone! I too can make an OK at best sound with it doing the mallard feeder call, but I think I just figurred out the "Roll your tounge" idea. I think It could be better described, but I have no idea what you would call it. I found a pretty good you tube demo that helped - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vBYigXXq_4 it wasn't this video, but it was Josh Smallwood - he has several helpfull videos. After I shot my bird this year, his buddy went into the woods about 50 yards away and was gobbling to beat the band, I pulled out the Haint to see if he would come back- he didn't but he shock gobbled every time I blew the Haint for a good 2 minutes! Wouldn't have made a difference if I had another tag, but it was fun to listen to.
Love mine. It took me several months of practice to resemble a gobble though.
I have one and really like it. Took some time to get it down but now I feel confident with it. Truth is I may over use it sometimes but it played a role in the death of 3 toms this year.
Dude, I had never seen this call before. I just turned my short reed goose call into one in about two minutes. It sounds so good it makes me giggle evily. :you_rock:
i sure wish i could learn it :help:
I flutter my tongue hard against roof of my mouth right behind my teeth if that makes any sense. Without the call it sounds like a sewing machine lol

i just cant figure out how much tongue is to flutter mine comes out like a growl on a crow call ive put probably 10 hours on this and cant get it
It took me 3 times as long, I'm a police officer and would practice to, from and between calls
