anybody give me any pointers on this call i just cant get the hang of it
Watch the video over and over and practice. By the end of the same day I bought it, I was sounding pretty good.
I cant speak from experience as mine is on its way but I did watch the D&D youtube video and I think I get it. Its about a 9min video.
i watched it to just cant get it
At first I really had to concentrate on keeping my mouth and tongue relaxed. Took me several hours of practicing to get it down but once I did that was it, now I can blow it without thinking about it

Mine came in on Friday and all I can say is if any of you guys have kids birthday partys coming up and need a horn blower Im your guy. I was practicing today and my wife came up and said I thought you found a box of party favors. Going to take some time.
Haha,I got mine and had it going within 30 mins.I can't put it down now, plus I have gotten better since I got it 2 weeks ago.

I figured it was one of those things that you get or you dont.
I actually got the flutter down last week and have improved to a decent gobble little more practice needed tho I have the polycarb wondering if the wood gives a little deeper tone

It does. I have the poly as well and plan on getting the walnut too.
:z-dizzy: MINE IS STILL IN THE DROWER SINCE LAST , YES LAST SEASON , I GET A HEADACHE JUST THINKING ABOUT IT . . . . ...
I have one that I'm tempted to smash with a sledge hammer.

Funny right. I watch that video and it seems so easy. I mean I can shoot a fake machine gun all day long but I can't gobble to savemyself. There ready to kill me in my house.
I prefer the walnut call over the poly call. The tone seems much fuller. I also think the separation in the gobble comes more from the hand movement on the call rather than the tongue flutter (slowing tongue flutter). I may be wrong, but it seems to be the ticket for me.

Totally agree. I think they mentioned that in one of the videos I watched, but not 100%.
I ended up ordering a Green Laminate Haint. The boys at DND said it is an even deeper tone than the walnut. Limited Edition call they only made 150 of, so I bit. Said they had a few left on hand.
Nver run the Haint, but I did pick up a K&H Hail Fire at Gander Mountain on sale. That particular call you use a duck feed call type of air presentation. Instead of fluttering the tongue, you say "tick-ticka-tickaa" as you run the call. The hands seem to create the deepness of the tone by creating a "sound chamber". Starts out with high air pressure and tapers off. Not sure if this will help with the Haint?
anybody have any secrets with the hand movement that they don't show you in the videos that could help me
