Hit woods at dark thirty, set-up in corner of field about 5 yds off field edge. No gobbling until 6 am and there was only one gobbling, he was quite a ways off, about 200 yds. Gave him a few calls with new box call I made and he responded. Slowly he started coming through woods in my direction until he was about 10 yds to my left behind thick brush, swing gun over to my left anticipating his big white head walking out any second, then I hear footsteps over my right shoulder in leaves, somehow and silently he managed to sneak around behind me and come out into field to my right, had to wait till he was in position to swing gun back around, got my opening and ended day at 6:35am. 20 lbs 8oz 1" spurs and an 9 3/16" beard.
