Title: Jellyhead .655 In Rem 870?
Post by: Rem Man on April 22, 2013, 12:46:57 PM
Hi guys I was wondering about any experiences wth this choke. I have a Remington 870 mag and also a Rem SM both 12 gauges. I went to buy the .660 but the only one they had was a .655 I just hope I didn't make a bad choice!. I plan on shooting lead #6's but mostly Heavi Mag Blends, and Heavyweight #7 all in 3 inch mostly. THANKS!

I pretty sure Jelly head only makes a .660 and .665 for the REM.  I have tested them both in my 11-87 SM with HEVI #7.   They both shot about the exact same.... the JH .665 put up slightly higher numbers in the 10in at 40 yards.  I have a JH. 665 for sale listed in choke section now..

Most people on here have good luck with the JH chokes in Remingtons.  My 11-87 and my brothers 870 did not do very good with either constriction shooting hevishot.  Give it a try and see what it does for you, it might be the choke for your gun and then again it might not be.

RemChoke Jelly Heads are .660 and .665

Not aware of any .655 Jelly Heads in RemChoke.

Check and make sure it says for Remington 12 Gauge on the package.
