Was unloading the 870 SM tonight and it somehow when ejecting the shell it got stuck, while another popped up to get loaded. Finally, after a few minutes, I was able to remove the rounds. The main round has some shallow dents though in the brass.
Is it still okay to shoot? Its a hevishot 13 round and would hate to have ruined it.
Thanks,
Trapper

I had that happen to a hevi shell. I shoot a 1187 sm.
Don't think any problems shooting...but could make ejecting an issue....don't know.

Ok thanks.
My 870sm does that to shells on occasion, I have never had any issues with performance.

+3 here.
Good to shoot IMO
Doesn't effect performance at all just make sure they will chamber and eject for you.
I'm with everyone else on this...... choot em! My Supermagnum does the very same thing when unloading. I've never had a problem with them feeding or ejecting.
