Title: Question on ground blind
Post by: MouthCaller on April 21, 2013, 03:50:32 PM
I finally got my new ground blind in the mail this week and I haven't got to take it out hunting yet but it comes with "shoot through" windows and I was wondering if anybody has ever shot through them with a shotgun. I really dont want to waste a shell to find out and its pretty easy to just go ahead and hang the barrel out of the window through the netting.... Just a wonderin'.....

I believe most manufs. tell you don't do it. Safety maybe ,cause you will have fire coming out the barrel. Also if you ain't wearing shooting muffs you will be walking around saying "HUH" for awhile if your barrel is inside the blind . It's loud. Trust me.

You don't need to shoot thru them with a shotgun.  Turkeys don't seem to mind the "black hole" effect. Just stick the barrel out and BANG!
