Title: Jasons Gobbler 2013

Took my soon to be SIL turkey hunting today. I went and scouted Wednesday and heard a turkey gobble where he needed to be. So we went and set up on that turkey this morning but he wasn't there. We heard no turkeys in the roost. I called a few times with no response. Then I called with my trumpet and box call with no response. I stood up because I was getting ready to leave when I heard a turkey gobble over the ridge. I called at him and he gobbled right back. So I sat back down and the next time he gobbled he was just over the ridge. I spotted him thru the brush and when he saw the decoy he started strutting. He came across the green grass all the way to the decoy. Just as he stepped out from behind the tree Jason killed him. 19.2 lbs, 10 3/8" beard, and right at an inch spur. His spurs were very sharp and curved. I beleive he was a 3 year old. Great flash hunt and caught on video. Video at the bottom.
