Title: Camo
Post by: Cutt on April 15, 2013, 09:38:06 AM
Anyone know of some good camo with a good bit of green in it, and decent brand/material?

I was looking to get some new Camo with more green in it, being our Season is always pretty green from the start. Only problem don't want Cotton blends, as they just don't last and fade out. I do a lot of Bowhunting and refuse to buy certain brands that just wear out. I know U.A. makes some quality clothing, but don't see any in the Turkey line? Any ideas? Also not interested in leafy wear, some areas are so thick and thorny, I'd be plucked bare by the end of the Season.

Midwest turkey call supply  has some ol tom shirt and pants in mossy oak obsession. I have a set and has a lot of green in it. It seems brighter than the cotton ones I used to wear IMO.

Under armour carries a line called light weight performance. It can be found on bass bro,If it is like anything else they make it will not fade.I have the ridge reaper outfit for archery hunting,I've had it for 3 years gone on 4 this year.It shows no signs of fading,it gets washed about 8 times threw bow season.

You may be better off to wait until summer,July I believe it is.That is when UA will release all of the new stuff for 2013,I have seen a few of the items. It looks to be great as always,I do know they will have items in new camo patterns such as the max1 and new realtree extra hd.

Mossy Oak Obsession has a good deal of green in it.

Wash your camo clothes inside out, in cold water with Sport Wash (no scent, no UV brighters) and they won't fade. I'm still wearing Realtree Xtra Brown clothing I bought in the 90's.

I have one of these on order right now.  I'll give it a try in Missouri next week.

Thanks, went with the Ol Tom tactiacl pants in Mossy Oak Obsession, but did not care for their shirt. So got a Under armour L/S heat Gear shirt, and a U.A Hoodie both in mossy Oak obsession too.

Figured most days I can start off with the Hood and shirt, then pack the hood in my vest as it warms.

Gray Wolf Woolens has Predator Spring Green in a synthetic material called Wolfskin. I had Jeff custom make a turkey shirt for me. Not cheap, but it meets all of your criteria.
