Trying to sight in my new Speed Bead yesterday and I'm shooting around 8" low and I'm out of adjustment. Is there something I can do to help? Would it make a difference if I mounted the sight on a rail instead of the speed bead mount? Gun is a Stoeger M3500
Have you tried it with one of the supplied risers yet?
Where does the gun shoot if you just mount it, and sight down the barrel as you would without a sight? If the gun shoots super low like this, you may have a barrel problem that I would take back to the manufacturer.
If the gun shoots OK without the sight, double check how yo mount the gun with it. Adding a comb kit to the stock will raise your POI - but 8 inches is a lot.
Are you sure you tightened the wedge screw? That will change the pitch of the sight. That's the first thing that comes to mind.

No I haven't, I was hoping someone could let me know if that would help or not beforehand.

Could you please tell me what a comb kit is?

Yeah I tightened it, could I possibly have it too tight or loose?
Or maybe try a different shim in between the mount and stock? That would change how the sight set right?
A comb kit is a series of pads and a neoprene sleeve used to elevate your head a little on the stock. The effect is that the gun shoots higher based on your point of reference. But 8 inches is a lot....

What is the distance of your target where you are getting 8" low? I would suggest using one of the supplied risers first as it will bring your POI up. If it isn't enough then your shim idea is worth a try. Incremental changes at the sight will have a greater effect down range.
I think you really need to answer the first question I asked in order for anyone to really help - where does the gun shoot if you just sight down the barrel normallywithout a scope?? If it shoots many inches low like that, you have an issue that a scope/sight cannot fix.

Thanks for the help guys... I've had the gun sighted in with just a pair of tru glo adjustable sights and it shot fine... I'm gonna tinker more and see what I can figure out.
