It's been tough here in West Tn. The bird went from flocked up to henned up overnight. Well I finally got one that wanted to play this morning before church and just my luck that rascal had beard rot. He gobbled on the roost several times and flew down right to my soft yelps and clucks. He strutted and gobbled all the way to his death. A textbook hunt to say the least, but this wont be one for the record books. Maybe later on this week these hens will start nesting and the action will pick up. Oh well, at least I get to eat good.
