I have a question for everyone. I have a Mossberg 935 with 24" barrel. I have a Hevi-14 choke tube (.676 I believe). The shotgun is equipped with a Bushnell Trophy Red Dot. At a lasered 41.0 yds, I am only getting 230 pellets in a 12" circle (Quaker Boy Target), shooting Hevi-13 Magnum Blends, 12 ga, 3.5", 2.25 oz. I have polished the barrel. These numbers seem low to me, I know it is good enough to kill a turkey, but shouldn't I get bigger numbers? Does anyone have any reccomendations? Thanks for reading this!
Sounds about right for Magblends, they usually don't get the numbers that the H13 7's will put up. It all depends on how many 5's vs how many 7's your lot # has with Magblends.
Yep. Sounds average. Drop it down to a 10" circle and 200-220 is respectable. Imo anything above that in the 10" is pretty good.

X2!!! :gobble:
Those are pretty good numbers for the magblends, if you want more pellet counts I say go for the 7's.
dead is dead
Lol...good enought to kill a turkey???...the mag blends are a 100 fps faster than regular hevi....that shot will remain DEADLY long after the pattern is gone.I have seen video of gobblers knocked plum over farther than we can talk about here..remember they hit like 2 shot sizes bigger....I'm no guru but I use em in my 935.....bad medicine fer sure...lmao.
