Title: Almost missed
Post by: I hate turkeys on April 12, 2013, 11:52:01 AM
They had me surrounded, with all the rain yesterday I thought the birds might be broke up.  Five birds all gobbling the hard part was getting turned for the one that was going to be first to the party (I turned three times). Shot him at 20 feet few more seconds and it would have been 10 feet. Aimed for the waddles when he turned to go around some sticks shot them clean off.
Got to love a ten gauge. At that range my pattern is about the size of a cue ball.
A good two year old 20#, 10'' beard & 1'' spurs.
