Title: Another in Florida Down!

Killed this afternoon about 6:45 -  not 15 min after getting out of the truck.   Walking down a clear cut pine field to a new spot... caught a quick peep of what appeared to be a turkey around some curves about 75 yards ahead.  Wind blowing near 20mph ....  I hunkered down in the ditch.. happened to be a great spot because  the curve was 30 yards ahead....no way the bird wouldn't be able to see me until he came around the curve.   Had some tall grass in front of me and ditch was like a bunker.   I peeped my head out ... saw in fact it was a gobbler... and he was coming my way.  No call or anything needed... just waited about 5 min... there he is!  Boom... dead.  10 in beard... around 19-20lbs.

HEVI 3.5, #7 does it again.

11-87 super mag, Wrights .670, #1 choke.

Tagged out in North Central Florida!

Congrats on a great looking bird. With the luck you had today (right place @ the right time), you might want to stop and get a lotto ticket.... :toothy12: :z-guntootsmiley:

I'd rather be in the right place at the right time, rather than be good, any day of the week!! Congrats on being in the right spot at the right time!! Doesn't happen to us often, but every now and again we are all in that good spot! Today was your day!! Congrats man!!! :icon_thumright:
