With all the posts about decoys ranging from DSD's to the Funky Chicken I wanted mention a rather unique alternative.
I've pondered the idea of trying a goose decoy.
Why?
Years ago I pulled up to a field and saw a goose surrounded by 3 gobblers that were steadily circling the lone goose. I watched this go on for 10 minutes.
Sounds crazy but if I had a goose deke I would give it a try! ;D
I always wondered about other decoys as "confidence" decoys. Say a heron if you're hunting near water, etc.

From what I have seen, geese and turkeys do not get along. Good luck.

I have several pics of deer and turkeys together but I wouldn't use a turkey decoy to kill a deer....jus sayin'
