Where do you guys get your lip stops?
Can you get them pre-formed?
The reason I ask is one of the hunters coming in for our Wheelin' hunt is making wingbone calls for all of the hunters and he wants to add a lip stop as an option. He was thinking cork.
Thanks,
Barry
1/2" brim cork, mom and pop sporting good, or 1/4" faucet washer, local hardware, will work, i use a sheetrock bit in a dremmel to get the id correct, would recommend a face shield when doing this
I cut rings off of deer antlers for my wingbone calls.
Barry how many do you need?
I often use the faucet washers with the holes already in them and if need be Ill enlarge it with a dremel tool, but have also used as chain saw chain file. I also use wood beads from a craft store if I want something a bit more stylish.
I use cork and then use wood glue and wipe it all over the cork to seal it and it will last for a long time, Never been a fan of rubber .
