Missed a Nice one at about 30 yards this am gonna get back on him tomorrow maybe my luck will turn around soon. Sorry guys
Dang I did the same thing. Called in a flock of 5 jakes, one strutter, and 5-6 hens. My son missed a jake at 20 yards, they flew and 5 minutes later the gobbler was hammering again. Circled him, called and here come the hens, then the strutter, jakes following. At 30 yards the gobbler was in full strut and i had committed to killing him. A hen spooks, he breaks strut turns and starts to run when I shoot. Crap. 30 minutes later he starts gobbling again but we spooked the hens trying to cicle for the third time. I knew it wasnt probably going to happen and it didn't. Ill try again Sat. morning. Cant take off no more this week.
