Perfect crisp morning in SC. Called in 4 hens, they eased off in a gulley. I heard gobbling in the pines, so I called the hens back in and a minute later two big toms came in and worked over my DSD Jake.
I picked the one with the best beard and dropped him at 40 yds.
21 lbs 2 oz, 11" beard, 1" spurs.
The hammock seat was very comfortable, lightweight and easy to set up.
Call was Woodhaven comp hornet
Encore 20" barreled 12 ga with 3" Magnum Blend

Congrats !!!...By the way did you have a hen decoy out with the jake or just the jake ?
Congrats
Nice bird! :icon_thumright:
Just the jake. The hens walked by the DSD Jake without paying him much attention.
The Toms were definitely keyed in on him. I'm not sure I would want to haul the hen, too.
