I set up on some roosted bird. They flew down, got hung up on a creek and wouldn't come in. I pulled the impatient card and went to them. Got to the creek and they were at the top of the ridge where I was set up originally. Ended up falling in two creeks and getting soaked from my thighs down and the birds quit gobbling. All this commotion took a few hours so about 10:15 am I was fed up and started to the truck. 100 yards from the truck I let the ol box call out one more time and he lit the woods up for two gobbles. He was at the gun barrel within 3 minutes. Another good thing about it was I was back to the house in about the same time it took him to come in to the gun. Can't beat a 5 minute drive to kill a longbeard!
