Title: Smoked another nice one. Proof Houndstooth works from 706 yds away!!

Called in this long beard from a lasered 706 yds across a fresh clear cut (4 hills, and one creek). Saw him strutting at 9am, yelped on a box call as loud as I could. He answered and began his journey our way, stopping from time to time to strut and gobble. Coaxed him the last 150 yds with a Houndstooth Mod V. Dusted him at 20 steps. He traveled all 700 yds in 20 minutes. Scored a little over 64. Nice spurs, and wide fat spurs at that. Popped the cherry on the modified Rob Roberts SBE2 Turkey Gun.

After that bird traveled that far, you should have just knifed him and saved your ammo.  He was probably to tired to run or fly!  Hee!  Hee!  Congrats on a fine looking bird!
