Had a pretty good opening morning. Not much activity at daylight, only heard one bird way off in the distance on the roost. Got on a group of birds on a hardwood ridge about 8 am. Worked them for about 30 minutes until I finally got the longbeards in range. There were a total of five gobblers, they all looked similar so I just picked out the one in the back. When he hit my opening I let the #5's go, and much to my surprise when I got to him he had 4 beards! One beard was just sprouting out and only about 1/4" long, then a 1", 2 3/4" and a 10 1/4" beard. Weighted just over 21 lbs. and had 1 1/16" spurs.
