I'm looking into getting some adjustable sights for my sons gun. He can shoot the factory bead with no issue but the Fed HW flight controls are shooting almost a foot high. I still have to shoot the HEvi 13 #7 through it to see how they pattern and I'm plan in trying the Turk thugs as well.
I don't know if I want a scope or adjustable iron sights. Thoughts?
A red dot is a good choice especially if a youngster is going to be using it. It keeps their head down on the stock so they are not looking over the sights, which will lead to a miss. They are easily adjustable and have unlimited eye relief.

I use this on my 870 youth, its just a add on rear sight. I use it in conjunction with a stick on fiber optic front bead.
simple and works for me.
