Title: Late season in Alabama?
Post by: BlakeJ on March 26, 2013, 06:08:27 PM
I might have the chance to make a hunt in southern Alabama during the last week of the season. Is it any good that late in the season?

Yes, it's always good! Any time you can watch gods creation come to life in the turkey woods it's a perfect time to tote a shotgun and chase turkeys. We just don't have many turkeys.  ;D

A lot of "old" turkeys get killed during the late season in alabama.  Prepare for heat, misquitos and watch for snakes.

Definitely bring the Thermacell and your snake boots. The turkeys haven't gotten fired up in the far South AL yet, so they shouldn't be gobbled out by the time you get down here.

I know us BAMA BOYS will be out there every morning we can until we punch the last tag. So if I don't have 5 in the freezer by then I will be out chasing them too.
