I went out yesterday afternoon and saw 16 turkeys, 9 of those being gobblers. Three of those were in the field that I went to this morning. I had a bird gobble right at daylight about 200 yards in front of me. I started yelping on my mouth call to let him know I was there. About 10 minutes later, I look to my right and see a bird standing on the edge of the field looking my way. He had heard me earlier and came trucking, I didn't even have to call. He didn't even gobble off the roost, or when he was coming in. He got to 35 yards and I clucked and popped him. I looked at my phone and it was 7:24. Definitely the fastest hunt of my life.
To add on to all of that, when I went to get him, a 'yote came out at the far end of the field, so I sat down next to my bird and started yelping. Slowly but surely, he came on in and I nailed him too
It's pouring rain now, but I'm thankful it held off long enough for this hunt to happen.
Congrats on a nice bird!

I have regretted this ever since. I was in such a hurry to get back to the house before the storms hit, I just left him where he fell. Didn't wanna have to deal with him later on in the bad weather, but it would have been a cool pic.
Thanks everybody!
Nlce going. Rick
