Just curious got a benelli with 400$ worth of chokes that I tried to get a certain patern at 40yds and got a new 870 and gonna try a less expensive approach to keep from going down the same road

I tried the Tightwad chokes in a Nova and an 870 without much 2-3 success years ago.  The Jelly Head is a better choke by Primos.

:agreed: I would buy a couple cheaper version chokes first and then if necessary move on to more expensive ones. Example: My Win 1300 did just as good with a TruGlo Gobbler Stopper as the 1187 I have did with a Jellyhead. I bought a Sumtoy choke for my Stoeger 3500 and cant wait to see how that does but I would have started out with a couple cheaper chokes with this one as well but couldn't find any to fit it. Point being that the more expensive ones might not be your best option & you might save alot of money.... Good luck in your search...
